Have you had enough of the "Best of the Decade" lists yet? They appear everywhere! From my viewpoint, it seems as though there is more interest in looking back than in looking forward. Not exactly sure why, but perhaps humanity has an easier time with what is known than what is unknown. Yet, in the midst of this looking back is also talk of resolutions! Many "changes" will happen tomorrow in people's lives, but how many will last?
The key in all of this? Bank on God's promises! They are all throughout scripture. Read them. Pray. Trust God. Walk with others! God knows the future and He loves us! Isn't that amazing? This Sunday, in both services, many will share a promise from God's Word for His glory and our mutual encouragement. If you were to share, what promise would you focus on? No resolutions, Just expectations that God is working in peoples Hearts and He will do some amazing things.

I'm thankful for the promise that God will never leave us. No matter what happens in this coming year, he's going to be with me, and that's awesome.
